My name is Jen Simons. I'm the Chief Content Officer at Silver Tribe Media. At Silver Tribe Media, we build, monetize, and grow direct to consumer media business. And essentially what that means is we work directly with creators and talent to help them build a media company around their brand or their podcast or their show.

What Do Hireframers Do For You?

The Hireframers we have on our staff are mostly editors and graphic designers, and they work closely with our producers and head of talent, creating content, editing podcasts, editing video, designing graphics for social media, designing show logos and artwork and decks for sales. They are completely immersed in our content team and our marketing teams and are really just a part of everyone making content for all of our various clients across all of our partnerships.

Building Your Team

I joined Silver Tribe Media to essentially build out a completely new content and production services part of the business. I had worked with Hireframe at my last job, so as soon as I started at Silver Tribe, I knew they were my first call as I laid the foundation for the team, building up a whole new department from scratch, and I wanted Hireframe to be a part of that. So immediately got some editors and graphic designers on board, and we've been cruising ever since.

Finding the Right People

I think for me and for a lot of people, the hardest part about building any sort of business is finding the right people to be on your team. And that initial outreach is very time consuming. Sifting through the first round of applicants can be very draining. So Hireframe was great to work with in that, where they take all of that off of your plate, allow you to really focus on other parts of building the business. They weed through the first group of candidates. And I think maybe I've met five candidates so far, and I've hired three of them. It's a really, really great ratio. The people that they put through are quality, and I've been overwhelmed and impressed with the applicants that they've sent through for me to evaluate.

What is it like working with Hireframe?

Working with the team at Hireframe has been really great. They're almost an extension of our own HR department. Our account managers, the recruiters, the people operations team, they're super responsive. I don't think I've ever waited longer than a day to get a response back to any question I've had. They hold monthly or bi -weekly meetings, whatever we feel is best. And anytime we have any questions or anything like that, they're always responsive, always there to help. And they're always helping the Hireframe continue to grow.

Hi there, I'm JD Beebe. I'm currently the president here at EverTrue and before that I was the CEO and co-founder at ThankView. ThankView is a personalized video platform used by over 1,500 universities and nonprofits to help them be more genuine by saying thank you via video. And Evertrue is a leading donor experience platform used by colleges and universities across the US in order to identify the best prospects, reach out in the most meaningful way, and ultimately raise the most dollars. And we came together and merged in 2021.

How did you start working with Hireframe?

We first started working with Hireframe back in 2019, and that was after we had started to hire a few remote folks across the United States. Originally, we were all focused and located in New York City. We had our entire team there. But once we started going remote throughout the United States, we thought this actually was working fantastically. And we of course knew of you and Tyler in Hireframe and wanted to expand our team even beyond borders to an overseas team to help initially with things like marketing and sales, but very quickly we realized that the teammates that we were able to gain via Hireframe were fantastic for customer success, for business operations, for partnerships, renewal processes, literally everything. So we were able to make that jump after realizing that we didn't all have to be in the same place.

How do Hireframers Fit in with Your Company Culture?

When we were building ThankView, we were very lucky in that we were able to create a fantastic culture. It was really strong, we had a unicorn as our mascot. So imagine the whimsy and the empathy and just the fun that we had as an organization. And so much of what created that was the fact that we were all together in the same office in New York. In working with Hireframe, Mike and Tyler really got to know us as people knew what our culture was like and I think that was very easily reflected in the candidates that they put forward. Even though they were a world away, those teammates that we had from Hireframe very quickly became part of the same culture. They were invited to all the same events. We wanted to make sure they felt the same sort of love and silliness that everyone else could and celebrating birthdays, big days in their life, that was all kind of part of it. Having now worked together for four years, and I think of the 10 candidates that we've had, nine have worked out and have been with us for years and years and years, a fantastic retention rate, And I'd like to say that all of them feel very much like they're actually part of the team and we think that we feel the same.

How do you Work with Your Hireframers?

It was really helpful, especially when you're hiring remote team members where there might be some cultural differences or just how to interact with teammates, what responsibilities can you give them? You know, you feel not sure about how much you can trust folks that you don't know or haven't met in person at first, but through Hireframe’s coaching and recommendations, we were very easily able to integrate all the Hireframe employees into our team really nicely and quickly. And ultimately all of them, their roles grew in directions that I don't think we could have even anticipated, taking on more responsibility, even helping lead different parts of the team. Those things were things we never thought we could come to expect. But again, because of the help that Hireframe provided, we're able to build extremely strong teammates who we can continue to give more and more responsibility to.

Hireframer Retention Through a Merger

ThankView and EverTrue, we came together and merged, we were purchased by private equity in 2021, and in that process, we actually brought all of our Hireframe employees over with us. And that was important for a number of reasons: One, terribly cost effective, fantastic team members at a very reasonable price. That's always good and everyone's gonna care about the bottom line there. But I think more importantly was, these are mission critical roles. These were not roles that were just nice to haves and what a sweet little thing we're doing here. No, these were roles that, again, our employees that we had through Hireframe had risen in their responsibilities, taken on new roles and jobs. And these are roles that would be hard to replace onshore. They were handling the responsibilities or books of business that we would have to hire someone onshore and I cannot say with a straight face that I'd be sure that someone else could do it as well as them. Again, we think of our Hireframe team members exactly like any other team members

Continued Success

So now as Evertrue is the combined entity, and we've gone on to acquire a number of other companies since our merger, the Hireframe teammates are continuing to be of value, really in every part of the business. So from business operations to trafficking, to renewals, to customer success, to sales and marketing help, SDR support, helping out our CEO with his day to day, there's a lot that's happening. So they continue to grow not only in their responsibilities, but throughout the departments. And we continue to look to bring more and more people on. I think the last person we just brought on started maybe two weeks ago and off to great raving reviews. What a great name, Benz. So I always say Beamer, Benz and Bentley when I'm talking to them. And yeah, so we continue to see a ton of value and I imagine EverTrue will continue to invest in Hireframe and those employees because they're fantastic, they're fantastic teammates.

My name is Jason Ton. I'm a CFO and Chief Business Officer. I work for 100 Thieves, we are an entertainment and lifestyle company rooted in gaming culture. And what that means is that we have teams that compete in professional video games called e-sports with content creators, with a media network and with consumer products.

What do Hireframers do for you?

We started off the process with Hireframe, just strictly on the finance and accounting team. We expanded Hireframe to other departments of the company. And what's been really impactful is that some of these Hireframers have been some of the most impactful people at the company. They have access to a lot of talented individuals. So whatever department you're currently in, they probably could help you out in other departments of the company as well. Right? So don't limit yourself to just thinking about if you're in finance, hey, I'm only looking for Hireframers in finance, but they people who can help in sales ops, and marketing, customer service. So in anything you can think of, they'll go out and find the best candidates for what you're looking for.

How did you decide to outsource certain roles?

The reason why we went Hireframe as opposed to hiring someone locally was really due to three factors. First one was just the skillset. Do they have the requisite skills for the job? And specifically for this one, they have ASC 606 experience. Second one was speed to hire. A lot of times going through the interview process with someone locally and finding someone who is within the distance of our office, maybe sort of a little difficult at times and going with Hireframe just expands our pool significantly. And the third item is cost, right? Hireframers are significantly cheaper than hiring someone locally full time. So that was a big added benefit. And all three of those put together made sense to go with Hireframe.

How is Hireframe different from a staffing firm?

With other search firms, it's very transactional. So they'll find you a candidate and they'll staff you. Once they're hired, they walk away and that's the end of the relationship. I think the key difference with Hireframe is that they're with you throughout the whole time. So they treat it sort of like an ongoing relationship instead of a one-time relationship. So since it's an ongoing relationship, you have a customer success team, they have support on their end, they're incentivized to ensure that the Hireframer is successful and that they're working great with the team. And that's an added benefit that I didn't really realize until I went through the process.

Growing working relationships

You have a direct relationship with the Hireframers. I think a lot of times when people think about outsourcing, you outsource them to a company or like a stable of contractors whom you don't really have a direct relationship with because they might swap people in and out or you may go through an intermediary. Whereas this point with Hireframe is that you go directly with the person and being able to develop the relationship, invest in that person and really sort of help level them up and integrate them into your company. What we've seen with some of our Hireframers who have grown and developed really thus far is that they've taken a lot of more responsibility over time. They've developed institutional knowledge, they've gotten more comfortable in the role. Some of our Hireframers have been here with us since the beginning, so over a year and a half. And over that time, they've really shown their work quality and high level output and people at the company have loved working with them.

Expanding your talent pool

It really expands your sort of talent pool to not just your local area, not even just the US, but internationally as well. It helps to give you instant access to people who have real domain expertise. And it's a really good cost benefit analysis for the company as well, right? Be able to bring on multiple people with a cost of one full time equivalent and really able to expand the scale of your team quickly and in a cost effective manner.

Meet Sam from Bomello

My name is Sam Fatoohi, I am the CEO and co-founder of Bomello. We make software called product lifecycle management, which helps hardware companies manage their bill of materials.

How has Hireframe changed your outbound prospecting?

So before we engaged at Bomello with Hireframe, we were a small team. So I was the one mainly managing sales and outbound efforts. That was fully my responsibility to both identify potential companies, identify their contact information, define some customizations and some information for outbound marketing. And the Hireframer team was able to really hand that to me and say, hey, here's a couple hundred people that we think you should be reaching out to, let's review these contacts in detail and that's really helped me become much more effective in my outbound.

Getting your time back

So by adding the Hireframer to my team, I was able to now, rather than doing a lot of monotonous work of just using various tools to find potential leads, I was able to focus on actually reviewing the contacts, reviewing information about the companies, but also spend more time with my customers, potential customers, focus on the product, focus on even going to sales conferences. And so when we were able to start getting meetings and conversations with folks, while I was still also doing everything else that's required on my job. That's when that's when it really clicked with me where, okay, I need to keep doing outbound identifying people to reach out to. We have in my market, I believe there's easily tens to probably scratching to hundreds of thousands of companies in the space. So there's a lot of people who might be interested in my software. And so it does require a lot of just investigating companies and doing research on companies. And that's what really Hireframers were able to help me expedite.

Streamlining the hiring process

Hireframe did a very good job of identifying potential Hireframers that would have been a good fit with their experience. And so I had an opportunity to connect with the Hireframer in advance and Hireframe actually gave it to me in a very simple way. They said like, you could choose to spend more time and that's fine to identify who you want, or you could leave it up to us and we'll identify the right candidate for you. I spent a little bit of time, but it wasn't like a full interview effort, right? And that's one of the beautiful things about what Hireframe can bring is that I don't have to go out and interview hundreds of people. Hireframe has a group of highly trained professionals who are able to provide value to me on day one.

How is Hireframe different from other agencies?

What I appreciate from how Hireframe handled staffing was it wasn't an over promise and under deliver. I've personally worked with some staffing and different responsibilities and this specifically in sales. One thing you quickly realize is there's certain places that it makes sense to have temporary or contractual labor in this kind of scenario. And there's certain scenarios where it doesn't make sense. And Hireframe was very upfront with me about, Hey, these are the kinds of scenarios where you're going to have a successful Hireframer engagement. And these are the ones that you won't be successful as much in and also provided a decent amount of guidance of this is probably the best way to work with your Hireframer. Obviously this is somebody that is essentially part of your team and it's not like a project based. It's a person based engagement.

Sharing best practices

One of the interesting things and nice things about working with Hireframe is we're both doing outbound sales, right? So for me, I'm looking out and trying to reach out to customers and Hireframe is also trying to find potential customers. So one of the really awesome things that I've been able to share notes about how I'm doing outbound and I was coming back and realizing I'm not getting the deliverability that I was expecting. And as I was sharing notes with Tyler in particular on this case, he basically quickly identified like make sure your stuff's not going to spam. We're seeing spam hit much higher than it used to in the past. And so make sure that that's not the case. And pretty quickly I was able to diagnose why.

A slam dunk

I think if you have an interest in expanding your team and doing it quickly, and you have a set thing, like set requirements that you have, Hireframe is going to be a slam dunk. I think, and even if you're nebulous before, it's worth the conversation because my experience with Hireframe is that they're not going to try and push you into an engagement that will be a lose lose situation. They want you to stay. Their incentive is not for you to show up for like a couple months and be gone. They want you to be a happy customer who refers other customers. That's Hireframe's business model. So even if there's some ambiguity or you're not sure, I think it's always worth the conversation. And then, you know, that's ultimately how you start to build the relationship and some level of trust. So that's my guidance. If you're realizing, Hey, I'm underwater and I'm doing a lot of X and I need to be doing a lot less of X. I think that's where Hireframe can really be effective.

Hey, I'm the founder of Flaire Software. We do AI-powered ERP and workflow automation for fashion brands.

What Does Your Hireframer Do?

When we have the product, we had to grow our sales. As a founder, founder-led sales is the most important part of the journey. And we were still in the founder-led sales motion. But I also don't have time to do everything because your plate is pretty much full. That's where Hireframe helped me. Where we hired an ADR who helped us come up with a list. From that, I can take and do my founder led sales journey and it made me more efficient.

What was Work Like Before Hireframe?

Before Hireframe, it was mostly me spending like two hours, three hours every day, just trying to make sure I do sales outreach. And then I started working on every other thing, which worked really well for the first six months because you just hit the right people very soon. But as we started growing beyond three months, six months, two hours is not enough. I needed to spend one whole day finding the right customer. ‍ Having so many calls that's outside of your customer segment that you are targeting is an even bigger waste of time. So that homework to understand and reach out to the right customer who can benefit from your platform is very important.

What was the Hiring Process Like?

I contacted Hireframe because they came with recommendations from other founders who have used them. So that was inherently like, okay, I can trust them because people I know have trusted them. And from that point on, the interview process was very straightforward. Coming from a non-sales background, I had no idea how to hire an ADR. That's where actually Mike and the founders had a meeting with me and taught me what are the things I should look for, especially for my current scenario. And guided me through the process. ‍ The account management team was very responsive. Throughout the process, I never had to worry about how to schedule, when to schedule. It was very seamless because that's the last thing I want to be thinking about when so many other things are going on. Actually, I just spoke with one person. I hired the first person they sent me and I was very happy with her.

How is Hireframe Different from Other Agencies?

Hireframe was not the first company I engaged, I have definitely worked with a few other companies last year. But for me, the biggest difference I saw was the communication. Communication with Rhea was so seamless and easy. We are in fashion, typically, I said, go to LinkedIn, go to Apollo, scrape and give me the details. She immediately came to me and was like, hey, from what you have said, it feels like I can scrape through a warehouse providers list, because that seems to be your customer. And she went out of the way to do that, which was one of the things that I loved. Sometimes it's not just about me telling what to do. She used to come up and be like, this is what I think I could add value if you are OK with it. And that was the biggest difference when I had a Hireframe person and the person before.

Don’t Compete, Grow

One of the biggest things I liked about Hireframe is that I'm able to talk to them and learn about what is the process I should put inside the company so that my Hireframe employees are more efficient. Rather than just throwing things out, having that conversation, tweaking any process that will make their ADR work better. Doing that is really good because it's not a partnership where you are trying to compete against each other. Rather, it's a partnership you are trying to grow with each other. So just lean on each other's feedback and try to improve the process.

My name is Jordan Wallach. I'm the co-founder and CEO of Belfry. We are the complete operations platform for security guard services businesses. So helping them do everything from scheduling to time and attendance, managing their field operations, paying their employees, billing their customers, and more.

What Does Your Hireframer Do?

We started engaging Hireframe when we were building out our implementation team within our customer experience team overall. And one thing that we found to be a consistent gap in what our customers received was just hands-on data support during the beginning of the implementation process. We engaged Hireframe through a referral initially from another company in the incubator network that we're a part of. And we found Ralph. ‍ Ralph has been extraordinary in this role. He's been a real leader on our team. His day-to-day responsibilities include being a real partner to our new customers when they're first getting on board with Belfry. So taking a lot of the data from their previous providers, cleaning that data and uploading that into the Belfry platform so that the first minute they open up their new Belfry account, it's pre-populated with all their own information and they can have a great experience just focusing on learning. ‍ Ralph has also just taken on more and more responsibilities on the team over the last year and a half. So what might've started as a quite defined role with some of those implementation support roles has expanded more and more into supporting the other team members and whatever they might need during an implementation. It could be answering support tickets and getting really specific and deep into our product and understanding our customers' workflows, their pains, and ultimately even interfacing with other team members.

What was Work Like Before Hireframe?

What was Work Like Before Hireframe?

Before we had Ralph, myself, a lot of the implementation managers were doing a ton of the data manipulation, a ton of the data work themselves. And that time was stacking up over the course of their weeks, which prevented them from spending more and more time with our clients. ‍ Onboarding Ralph onto the team, taking off those responsibilities from our implementation managers, but also having him, he's quite a specialist in what he does. As a result, that frees up our implementation manager's time and also ensures that a lot of that work up front is done well and done with the utmost quality.

What was the Hiring Process Like?

When we were hiring Ralph, we had the same bar for talent as we do for any of our other team members across the business. And working with an agency that was one hesitation initially was, could they bring talent that was at the same bar that we hold ourselves to internally? ‍ And without question, at the beginning, there were multiple candidates presented to us with a pretty clear rubric of what success meant. And it was nice being supported by a project manager throughout that process that also understood the role that we were hiring for and some of the core capabilities and skills that were needed to do well and to be successful in that role. Overall, we definitely found a really core Belfry team member and Ralph as a part of that process. And Hireframe did an awesome job bringing us candidates that really fit the bill.

One of Our Own

Our team members just consider Ralph one of our own. He's part of the team. He's in our daily stand-ups. He's on our huddles. We have a thing where we give tacos to our team members, a little bit of kudos in our Slack channels, to just reward our team members for doing a job well done. Ralph is always one of the top taco getters on the CX team. Yeah, he's been a joy to work with. He's always asking for more, taking on more and more, even beyond his day-to-day. And he's a beast, to use one word that I've heard from our team.

Meet Andy from Renterra

My name is Andy Feis. I am the co-founder and CEO of Renterra. We are an end-to-end software platform for heavy equipment rental companies to manage everything that they do.

What does your Hireframer do?

So we worked for a Hireframer for close to a full year and their mandate was all around helping us with sales research and finding new prospective leads. These equipment rental companies that we work with, a lot of times they don't have huge public presences. And so our Hireframer helped us do deep research on things like Google Maps, state filings to help us prospect prospective leads, organize all of that information into a spreadsheet so that we could upload those leads into our CRM to help our sales team ultimately close new business.

What was work like before Hireframe?

So before Hireframe, prospecting and this kind of detailed new leads research was done by each rep that had a target of picking up a few new leads per week. But it was not nearly as organized, not nearly as in depth, and we weren't able to do nearly the same volume because we didn't have anyone purely dedicated to doing sales research. ‍ Bringing on our Hireframer allowed us to first just take that extra bit of work off each of our sales team's plate. And then also, I think just increase the velocity of the number of new leads who we were able to prospect and the richness of the data because he was focused and got a lot better at finding these types of leads and getting the right information.

What was the hiring process like?

The hiring process was seamless. We brought the request to Hireframe and within, I believe it was one to two weeks, we had our Hireframer in the seat researching new leads. The Hireframe team made everything affiliated with onboarding and finding the right person very, very seamless.

What was your sales team’s reaction?

From a broader sales organization perspective, having all of this research and new leads come in, that will breathe life into any salesperson. That's some of the most nitty gritty grunt work that a salesperson often has to do is fine tune data, try to prospect leads. It's much more fun to go hunting on a list of existing leads. So everyone was always very excited when we would do an upload of leads from our Hireframer. And in fact, a number of the deals that we closed over the last year were originally prospected by our Hireframer. Universal approval from the sales team of all of the efforts of the Hireframer.

How was your day to day experience?

He did an outstanding job every single day providing a very clear, concise summary of exactly what he did. He was very honest and transparent with what his work was. And so it made managing him exceptionally easy to just be able to check Slack, see a simple summary of what he knocked out. If we ever wanted to review it or had questions, he was very, very accessible. I was most impressed with the consistency of his efforts. The work he was doing, I think if one of our employees, we tasked them with it, might've started to slow down and their pace or deteriorated just their willingness to, day in and day out, commit themselves to that project.

Extremely quick to get up and running

If you have a well-scoped project in an area where you could use a set of hands for someone who's very responsible, smart, easy to interact with, couldn't recommend Hireframe enough. It's extremely quick to get up and running, especially for the roles that are outlined as some of their core competencies.

Meet Adam from Ruli AI

I'm Adam Friedman. I'm the Head of Customer Partnerships at Ruli AI, a legal intelligence platform for in-house counsel. I'm focused on GTM activities, making sure the sales team is well-staffed, managing a team of folks to sell to our corporate in-house clients, and I have to make sure that there's a constant steady lead flow of potential prospects for the team.

What does Hireframe do for you?

I worked with Hireframe to generate prospecting lists based on a specific criteria that would normally take my team hours and hours to handle themselves. And so the Hireframe team was able to put together a really comprehensive list with really valuable information for my team to go after so that my team can focus on high value work, targeting those potential prospects, and not spending as much time on that routine, repetitive research element that will often take many hours to complete.

How is Hireframe different from other outsourcing companies?

Hireframe was very personal in how they spoke to me and the outreach, and their attention to detail, and their desire to really understand exactly what I'm looking for in terms of the VA work that I was looking to source. We did speak to quite a few different candidates for a VA role. Hireframe by far was the most professional, the most thorough, was the most interested in my success and our team's success. ‍ Whereas some of the other resources that we interviewed felt very formulaic in their outreach, very routine, did not really have much attention to detail or even a strong recall of our conversations. Hireframe was exceptionally thorough, we had multiple conversations back and forth. They were very clear on making sure that they understood exactly what I was looking for, and we would iterate together.

Proving value without commitment

Another really big element to decide to work with Hireframe is they had an approach of proving out the work before requiring a commitment. That's something that we do at our company, and so Hireframe was absolutely willing to provide some sample work. It was very, very good, very strong. None of the other companies that I was interviewing were willing to do any work without that sort of commitment. And so for me, that really demonstrated a lot of trust and a lot of responsibility and accountability. And so when they provided the work, which was excellent, it was a clear choice to work with them.

Adapting to changing strategies

Having just started my role here at Ruli, there's a lot of information and a lot of strategy that's in flux. We definitely started out with one idea of what we would be looking to utilize Hireframe for. But we also needed to balance efficiency and thoroughness, and so worked with David and the team to understand, where are the opportunities for efficiency and delivering a larger number of leads in this case. ‍ And so Hireframe was really great about iterating, providing feedback around how much time certain tasks were taking. We worked together to identify maybe some areas where we can scale back some of the work and focus other efforts and other energy in other tasks in order to maximize the deliverable and what we were looking for. And so Hireframe was super flexible, very, very willing to kind of go back and forth, provide a lot of transparency into what was working well, what was taking maybe a little bit longer. And we worked together to come up with a strategy that made the most sense for both our teams to ultimately provide a strong product.

Focused on your success

One of the biggest challenges, especially when you're working remotely, is finding people that you can trust, people that care, and someone, and a team that doesn't necessarily feel like you're just a number. Hireframe is exceptionally personable, very, very focused on my success, our team's success, our team's needs, flexible, when we had any changes. And so it was truly a pleasure to work with folks, especially in this era of remote work, where you often don't get to see people day in and day out. Hireframe made things feel very personable and like I was in good hands. So I definitely recommend them to other folks.

We focus on family and founder-owned companies that operate in the industrial and infrastructure services sectors. These companies are lower middle market businesses, so they're smaller businesses.

What Does Your Hireframer Do For You?

My role specifically is involved in sourcing companies to acquire. This entails a lot of direct outreach to the business owners themselves. And there's a tremendous amount of work that goes into that in first identifying the company that seems to be a fit from our investment criteria perspective, but also tracking down the business owners contact information, phone, email, name, whether the business is still privately held or if it's already been acquired by a larger strategic company. And so my Hireframer helps me from a sourcing perspective. So she can basically do a great job in researching specific companies, finding their contact information, finding specific details about those businesses and helping kind of craft together messaging that I can ultimately reach out to those business owners with. In addition to that, the Hireframer gets involved in any other administrative tasks that kind of falls onto my desk. One of those being non-disclosure agreements. So she does a great job in kind of reviewing NDAs, marking them up based on the parameters that I provide her and kind of sending those back to me.

What was your day-to-day like before Hireframe?

Before my Hireframer, a lot of this work, I was just doing it myself. We're a small team. And so I manage all of the sourcing responsibilities at the firm. And so it's not necessarily that the work wasn't getting done, but it wasn't to the volume that I preferred, especially if my day is incredibly busy with calls and meetings or travel. I just don't have the time to sit down and dig up 50 companies and find contact information, find unique identifiers about those businesses and do that type of research. And so, my Hireframer really helped me scale my efforts in regards to just the pure volume of companies that we're reaching out to. And then anytime I have administrative tasks, I can just immediately forward those to my Hireframer instead of me getting involved in doing those tasks myself. So, the biggest beneficiaries is just the time management that I get back to focus on higher priority items.

Finding the Right Hireframer

When choosing a Hireframer, the team at Hireframe provided me three different candidates to interview. I think within a week of basically deciding to move forward with Hireframe, those interviews were scheduled. So they were very quick in identifying people who could be a great fit for me. All three interviews were by video so I could talk and see the person that I was interacting with and ask them specific questions about their resume, their skillset, kind of what interests them most, what they're good at, what they would enjoy doing. And ultimately I could figure out which of these individuals was the best fit for myself.

Communication is Key

What's really important to me from a partner to work with from Hireframe is communication. It's very common for me to have to change the Hireframer's priorities throughout the day because my priorities change. They might be working on a long-term project with me, but I might have something that's more time sensitive and I can send it over to them and make sure that they see it quickly, they can respond to it quickly and get back to me.

Scaling Your Efforts

Generally speaking, there are business development individuals at all major private equity firms and all of them are tasked with very similar responsibilities as me in regards to being able to source a lot of high quality investment opportunities for the firm. And those opportunities can be through direct outreach to the business owners, or they could also come through intermediaries like investment bankers, CPAs, lawyers, et cetera. And to do that effectively, it really is a volume game. You need to be able to contact a lot of people at all times. And if you're a small firm with minimal resources and the responsibility just falls on your shoulders, you have to figure out how can you scale your efforts without hiring additional people to your team. And so Hireframe is a perfect solution to really scale your outreach efforts and to make sure that you're contacting all the people that you need to be contacting in addition to helping offload a lot of administrative tasks.

Time is everything

I see our Hireframers scaling with our business as we grow, because as we grow, we will have more needs, especially on the sourcing side for myself, to find more companies to acquire, because we'll have more capital to deploy. And so naturally, I think Hireframe will scale with us as we continue to grow, because we will need to find more businesses to buy. And there's just going to be a lot more work to get done. So I could almost envision a team of Hireframers assisting me down the line as my business continues to grow. Because at the end of the day, time is everything. And the more you can scale your efforts without having to hire more people in your office, I think the more effective you can be in your role.

Meet Jon from TrueBuilt

I'm Jon Sibley, the founder and CEO of TrueBuilt. We are a modern pre-construction platform, so we work with commercial general contractors and subcontractors to improve their bidding and planning process.

What do your HIreframers do?

So we've had two Hireframers work with TrueBuilt on the sales side, both a BDR and an SDR. The BDR was more focused on data enrichment. They came in, did a fantastic job, really got our data pipeline going and got to the point where we no longer needed that because they really completed that task. There are a finite number of construction contractors out there. And so they were able to do all that data enrichment. And then worked with the Hireframe team to really get someone who could do cold calling, cold emailing, and that was pretty successful as well.

What other prospecting strategies have you used?

We did get to a point where we wanted to try some of the AI cold calling tools. We piloted one, it started working well at first, but then the results slowly dropped off and got worse and worse. So we ended up circling back to Hireframe and we're now in the process of hiring another SDR. ‍ After working with Hireframe twice now, we'd really like to get a Hireframer that can be with us in the long run. And I think this particular role could be someone who can grow with our company and hopefully even step into a closing role someday.

Flexibility for changing strategies

When it comes to Hireframe, it's been very, very easy to work with the whole organization. We've met with a variety of people and they've all been very receptive to what TrueBuilt needed. I think the number one thing was the flexibility that was offered. Not locking us into a long-term contract was great, but more importantly is Hireframe has been very, very flexible as we've changed strategy. So once we were done with the data enrichment project, they were able to pivot to getting us an SDR. After we tried the AI SDR and it didn't work out, now we're back with Hireframe trying to grow the SDR team. So that kind of flexibility to work with us was huge and definitely a crucial factor for us coming to Hireframe for the very first time, but also coming back to Hireframe.

Filling business gaps quickly

Everyone was very excited to see how quickly Hireframe was able to find us someone. Everyone in our organization knew we had this hole on the sales side where we didn't have anyone focused purely on data enrichment and then didn't have anyone focused purely on outbound. So I think everyone was very happy to see how quickly Hireframe was able to accomplish that.

Easy access to offshore talent

I'm a big believer in offshoring and working with Hireframe really allows us to get access to offshore talent without having to set up a TrueBuilt entity in Mexico or a TrueBuilt entity in Brazil. And so I think for now we'll have Hireframe really focused on building out our sales team internationally. But again, Hireframe having that flexibility to work with us and lever up or down as the needs of the business change is super important to me.

Find the right solution

My advice to someone who's interviewing with Hireframe and looking at bringing them on to help them find talent or help them find a staffing solution is to be really open about your needs. From my very first conversations with Tyler, I was very open about exactly what we needed and he was able to find the right solution for us and then plug those parts in. And again, Hireframe having that flexibility and being able to really listen and understand what TrueBuilt needed, was very important to us and it's why we're returning to work with Hireframe again.

Meet Johnny from Fuel Cycle My name is Johnny Anderson. I am the Associate Vice President of Customer Solutions in our customer experience department. I oversee several teams, including audience experience, which handles the experience of our research participants inside of the space, including recruitment, engagement, incentivization, and overall member value proposition. This also includes our audience acquisition team to help customers recruit respondents that they do not have access to, our customer solutions team, which is our help desk and support, and our training and enablement team, which does training and enablement on the product and service level for both customers and prospects. And that includes our implementation department for new customer onboarding. ‍ What do Hireframers do for you? So we have Hireframers on two of my departments. have them on our audience experience team and our audience acquisition team. On the audience experience side, they really handle end to end, anything to do with participant engagement, making sure that our online market research communities are active, engaged, and that there's plenty of projects and activities for them to complete and engage with. That the incentives try to go off without a hitch, that members are being responded to if they reach out for support or any level of communications. And they've actually been doing such a good job. We didn't really intend for the roles to be customer facing so quickly, but we are actually speeding up the process of having them be put in front of customers 50% sooner than we originally planned because we've been so impressed with the work. ‍ On our audience acquisition side, we have a Hireframe team member who is primarily responsible for gathering and finalizing pricing bids for external and ad hoc projects that we run. And they also execute and provide updates across the board for every single project that we have running in our dashboard that is accessible to our entire company. ‍ What was work like before Hireframe? Before we brought our Hireframe team on, it was a mixture of the work being completed by other folks and trying to squeeze it in when they can. And we all know how great of work we get when that happens. But admittedly, some of the work just unfortunately wasn't being completed. We had to kind of pick and choose which elements were the most important for us to complete and try and focus on those and ones that we knew needed to be done but we just didn't have the bandwidth to do, we would either put on the back burner and just, hope that one day we can get to them or we would kind of divvy it up amongst folks when they had a few minutes here or there. ‍ The Hireframers enabled us to scale faster than we had planned to. And that's been a big help in letting our onshore team members be able to focus more on elements that we want them to and allow the Hireframers to really thrive in the work that they're best suited for. ‍ What was the hiring process like? They did their due diligence of searching for candidates that they felt were the best. They would do an initial screen and interview on their end. Anyone that they liked, they would then pass to us. And we did a two-step interview on our end. But what we really appreciated was the Hireframe rep that we worked with being on the call while we interviewed them on the first round, to help provide context questions and then just be present during those conversations, which to me really show that they had an undeniable vested interest in ensuring that we were having quality conversations and that the candidates that were being passed to us were of a caliber that they can stand by. ‍ How is Hireframe different from other staffing partners? What separates Hireframe from staffing partners that we've worked with in the past is two things. One is that our support and overall account management has been stellar. We work with really great people. It feels like a genuine partnership, it doesn't feel forced, it doesn't feel like it's solely financially oriented. There is a genuine desire here for our success and I really appreciate that on a near daily basis. But I think the second is that our experience with Hireframe in particular over the past year has been that you guys really do your due diligence in ensuring that the candidates that you have in your circle are really high caliber. Even the folks that we interviewed that we ultimately decided not to hire were still great candidates, folks that were superior to those that we have interviewed that were located stateside. ‍ Speed, reliability, and communication We tell our leadership team any chance that we can how happy we've been with the addition of our Hireframe team members. They are so friendly. They can get work executed so quickly. The communication is strong. They are reliable. I cannot emphasize how reliable our Hireframe team members have been. It's just been night and day from the last partner we worked at. And we've also seen a much stronger work utilization with the Hireframe team members, so much so that it's almost tripled in the past six months from when we had our last vendor. So our finance team is pretty happy as well. ‍ A first level channel for staff What our experience with Hireframe has shown us is that we can use Hireframe as a first level channel for staff replacements. If folks choose to leave for other opportunities, we see Hireframe as a viable option for candidates to replace who were previous onshore individuals. My name is Jackie Hsu and I'm the Accounting Manager at Imperial CFS. We're a bonded warehouse that handles LCL and other customs bonded cargo in the Los Angeles and Long Beach area. ‍ In my role, I oversee accounting as well as broader operational functions like IT and office management. And because we're a pretty lean team, I'm often involved in cross-functional projects, including improving our customer-facing systems and website.

What does Hireframe do for you?

We engaged Hireframe to support us with our UI/UX design for our website. And their role was to help us rethink the user experience and improve navigation and create a more modern, intuitive interface for our customers. They worked really closely with myself and our internal IT team to understand our workflow and our customers' needs, and then helped us translate that into functional designs.

What was work like before Hireframe?

Before Hireframe, this type of work was handled internally on an ad hoc basis. And that made it really difficult for us to achieve a cohesive and professional user experience. The team has appreciated having a dedicated design resource who could bring structure and expertise to an area that we didn't previously have in-house and allowed them to focus on other items that were more of their expertise.

What was the hiring process like?

The hiring process with Hireframe was smooth and efficient. Hi, my name is Jesse Hunt. I am the Manager of Customer Engagement and Operations at EverTrue. As Manager of Customer Engagement and Operations, I oversee a small team of individuals on our customer success team who oversee quite a large base of customers. And we help those customers navigate our software and work with them to have the best customer experience possible.

What do Hireframers do for your team?

I have several Hireframers who are focused on customer support as well as customer renewals. Another Hireframer who's focused on a lot more tactical and project work and they really help to open up the bandwidth for the rest of my team to really be able to focus in on quality work that they can do with their customers as well.

What was your day-to-day like before Hireframe?

I had quite a small team prior to bringing on the Hireframers for our customer engagement organization. We literally had two individuals who were supporting about a thousand customers, which as you can imagine is a very difficult thing to sustain. So being able to bring on the Hireframers, we've been able to really open up the volume and quality of that customer support for that base of customers. And of course, I've been able to free up some of the time for the existing employees to be able to focus on project work and process work that previously wasn't really getting as much exposure or attention because they were very bogged down with tons and tons of requests coming through.

The Hiring Process

To source talent is a very time consuming process, but Hireframe makes it feel like a very simple process. I know there's a lot of work they do behind the scenes at Hireframe that really just makes life so much easier for us. So as a hiring manager, my responsibility was to look at a narrowed field of candidates that Hireframe presented, all of which were absolutely incredible, and to choose which ones I wanted to go through a final interview process for. ‍ It took what would normally be a months long process of hiring someone to fill a role and made it a very short truncated like couple week long process. To this day, one of the things I will always extol about Hireframe is the fact that they can fill the role fast with someone that's extremely high quality.

Ongoing Support

The ongoing account management from Hireframe is something that is also quite impressive. I have a monthly sync currently with our account manager. It's an extremely valuable space for us to be able to deliver any feedback, but also just discuss goals and potential growth for the Hireframers that are working with us. Beyond that, I also know behind the scenes there's a lot of stuff that Hireframe is doing to support the individual contractors that we're working with. So for the Hireframers that I work with, I have a bi-weekly one-on-one with them, but on the other end they're also having another one-on-one with their direct coach at Hireframe. And that really makes it so there's an implicit level of trust there that's just built up over time because they're getting not only direction from me, but they're able to have conversations with a more full-time coach who can kind of focus on their overall development when it comes to core functionality and core wants and wishes as they grow within their role.

I truly cannot imagine my team not having Hireframers on it

Now that I've had the experience of working with Hireframe directly for my team, I truly cannot imagine my team not having Hireframers on it. It has been a great experience. As my team grows, I would like to also involve and then look into how Hireframe or my Hireframers can kind of grow within it. It's truly something where the hiring process made it super simple. So I know that I can always kind of rely on that to fill in immediate needs. But more importantly, just the quality of the work that they commit to our organization is something that really is hard to find in a lot of different individuals. Meet Talha from Orum

My name is Talha Husayn. I'm currently the VP of technical sales at Orum. Orum is a live conversation platform and we really first started the platform by focusing on the most manual and tedious effort of making calls, where reps would spend hours a day making calls, only get a handful of conversations. And live conversations today, especially across most B2B SaaS, is still the highest performing in terms of conversion when they occur, as well as the most valuable, because you're actually having a live human connection.

How Does Orum use Hireframers on its Sales Team

Hireframe really helped Orum unlock and optimize the sales development team. And it was really done so through providing us with a new subset of sales development reps we call account development reps, ADRs. And it was something that no other company has really done before. There are some companies who had done that, but like it's more of a research group and they pass leads along. It wasn't at the depth of what we were saying, which is like, we have experienced SDRs, they know how to write emails, they know how to prospect and things that current tech staff cannot automate and also a layer of decision-making and intellectual capacity that's required to personalize said email to know that this title actually means they're not ICP, even though it sounds exactly the same as this title, by looking at their previous job history. I mean, these are things that, again, sales development reps are spending most of their time not actually selling. And so we said, hey, how can we outsource this? But if we're gonna outsource it, we need someone who's also intelligent. It can't just be someone off the street. It has to be someone who likely has had a college degree. But also it has to be cost effective. So what I found with Hireframe is that we were able to have access to talent that was incredibly smart, they're able to learn, and at the price point where they both benefited and so did we. That was very difficult to do with any sort of other freelancing or staffing company.

How Have the Hireframers Grown with Orum?

I think about the initial Hireframers like Iyah and Jon. They both set the standard of the company. And then there was many more Hireframers who came after that. and by and large, all of them, you know, were really, really, really good. especially at that stage of the company. and I think about someone like Jon, to your point, where he started off as an ADR, became a team lead, so I was able to relinquish a lot of those responsibilities on to Jon. But, you know, both Jon and Iyah are really smart. They were able to break down the process, right? They were able to create workflow documentation. There were even a lot of ADRs that were doing BPM mapping, which we started selling as a separate service for a little bit. And that was like, that was starting to take off so fast that we had to kill it because it might mess with our own valuations as a software company. I don't know if that tells you about the success of working with the company, but we almost created an entirely new product line and all professional service offering. And so, not only were they able to grow, but they were able to bring their intelligence with them. And even though the ADR program is a lot of manual effort and work that they're essentially doing, because they are smart and we love smart people, we're going to allow them to improve the process and allow them to get the feedback. So a lot of the operational way that we operated, the way that we improved the product, the way they improve the process when it came to outbound motion and overall pipeline generation, was driven by their, and largely by Jon and Iyah's feedback in the early days, like, what can we automate? Like what's working for you? What's taking a lot of time? And Jon in particular, right, he's, he also has an engineering background. He's learning about that. So we were able to graduate them to different parts of the company. And as certain parts of the company were no longer relevant, once we have a lean data and all sorts of automation that made the ADR a little bit less relevant, we're still able to maintain the talent because we're able to train, but also they are smart enough to train themselves up to be useful in other capacities, moving into support, moving into Rev Ops.

How is Hireframe Different from Other Staffing Vendors?

I think one of the things is that when people look at outsource talent, and especially when they look at like the SDR in particular, there's a lot of outsourced SDR organizations. So they're specifically hiring and breeding and creating, you know, these sort of individuals, right, to take on these roles. So they're very specified to that. Whereas Hireframe, you know, you have a much more full gamut, right, of different roles and where they could fit. I think as a partner, one thing that you guys did that other staffing partners wouldn't do is you create an entire internal program to train them on the solutions, services and technologies we're using and kind of had your own little class. So you recreated the SDR hiring protocol and class trainings that you'd see at other SDR organizations, specifically for the ADRs to vet them before even bringing them into an interview. That is a lot of work that was taken off our plate. And so, I think that that's something that you normally don't see. And the only way to see that would be to go to the specific staffing companies that focus 100% on that. But then at the same time, you are gonna be paying a much higher price, and they might not adapt with you. So I think as a partner, you guys adapted to the needs that we needed and the talent still remained really high. You deleverage the risk on our end and the de-risking is probably one of the most important pieces for us at the early stages, because we don't have a lot of resources and time to waste. And even a single bad hire can set you back. From my perspective as a partner and to be able to be as malleable as you guys were and grow with us was really impressive.

We’re Not Rolling the Dice

We have a lot of confidence that the people that are coming in, that there can be a long-term place for them, but also that they're gonna be able to do the job, first and foremost, and that we're not rolling the dice. dice, which if anyone's ever used outsourced staffing before, if it's your first time or you haven't done it in a while, there's no way you haven't had negative experiences in the past. There's no way. You'd have to be the luckiest person in the world to make five hires and one of them doesn't work out. Versus a damn near perfect spot record with Hireframe.

What Do Hireframers Do for NEXT?

Next Trucking has partnered with Hireframe for outsourced support for our operations and accounting teams for about four years now. Hireframe has staffed roles on our accounting teams, such as AP clerks and billing specialists, and then on our operations side, mostly operation specialists to support our customer and carrier teams.

How Do You Manage Offshore Talent?

I think a great example of a way we've collaborated with Hireframe is on performance management. So even though these are not directly our employees, they're supporting very important parts of the business and we want to make sure that their performance is on track, that they're being supported and developed and Hireframe wants the same for them as well. So we partnered to create a performance review process that kind of lines up with our internal performance review process so that Hireframers are also getting feedback on their performance and that has allowed them to develop in their careers as well. So we're able to use that information for end of year merit cycles or if we need to consider someone for a promotion. And it also makes sure that our people managers are, having team members that are meeting the expectations of what we need for these roles as well.

Managing Hireframe Teams

My colleagues at NEXT, especially our people managers who have Hireframers on their team, really appreciate the CSM or point of contact at Hireframe that meets with them on a regular cadence because our NEXT leaders are coming in with their perspective of the Hireframer's performance. And then the Hireframer point of contact is coming in with best practices on how to work with and support a Hireframer. So I think that's probably been the most successful because oftentimes when you work with outsourcing, you might just be given an individual to work with and you're expected to kind of manage that relationship on your own.But with Hireframe, it's really a partnership to make sure that NEXT is getting the services that we're expecting, but also that the Hireframer is also performing well and enjoying their experience too.

Communicating With Hireframe

For a relationship like this to be prosperous or successful, I think it really takes Hireframe just really being open to what we're expecting out of the relationship. So that has allowed for a lot of great communication, even learning from certain situations. But most of all, like we've just worked really well together to make sure that service expectations, communication expectations are super clear. I think they take accountability and they come with ideas and solutions on how it can work. And so I think by doing that we've been able to build just relationships and programs that are successful because there is that open communication and that interest in making sure that the people have a good experience and that we're also getting the service and the performance that we need too.

Easy to Build Up and Stand Up Teams Around the World

They've been great partners and communicators, especially when we have to pull together teams for specific projects or initiatives. What we enjoy about our relationship with Hireframe is that they have similar values to us in caring about their people, making sure that they're supportive and that they are being developed in their roles and their careers. It's also been a great partnership because they're also remote like us. So that's kind of been easy to really build up and stand up teams around the world.
